Should I?

I just got a new job that I will be starting this Monday. If everything goes as planned and I am approved for this surgery then hopefully it will be done in October or November. This job is for only 6 months, but should I tell my employer about the possibility of having this? There will be times that I have to drive 2 hrs for my appts. before the surgery and I will have to have the WHOLE day off instead of just an hr. What would be ya'll's advice in this situation? Hubby says no and just say something when the time comes.
