Pain on left side...above hip area...any idea what this may be?

A dull ache started yesterday on the lower left side...sorta just above hip area. Today, it has progressively gotten worse...if I sit for awhile and then get up...it hurts really bad...and I get a bit light headed. I don't want to jump to any conclusions...and rush to the Dr. so I thought I would see if anyone here has ever experienced anything like this. I was constipated for about 5 days last week...to the point of being nauseated...and now I have been having very loose stools, about 2 x's a day. I am currently 8 mths. post op. I am not sure what to think. Any ideas? Thank you...Lisa
