I am a very picky eater, will I starve?

My husband thinks I won't be able to eat any of the foods I eat and will just eat them anyway and throw up. I've read other posts where post-ops regularly throw up and he said that is very unhealthy. I am not willing to try new foods. I eat very few fruits and veggies but I do eat some. I'm not big on sweets either.
