Is approval for the psych eval a clue to approval for the surgery?
I was talking to my psychologist's office today about insurance approval and deductables (I have to pay a rather hefty deductable to have this eval) and I told her (rather jokingly) that I'd need counseling if I pay out this money and still get denied to have the surgery....and she said that the fact that the insurance company approved my visit to the psychologist for the pre-wls psych eval was a pretty good sign that I'd be approved. This particular psychologist does almost all the psych evals for my surgeon so I'm thinking that she has a lot of insight on this...but I just thought I'd ask for your insights on this as well. So, what do you think?
