What does full feel like after surgery?

I am 4 days postop and my surgeon says eat till full (not one bite more). My problem is that I don't know what full feels like. I have been eating about 3-4 ounces of soft foods (mashed potato consistency) and no more because I am scared of busting something open. I do feel a pressure in my throat but air bubbles up so I don't know if it is air pressure or a full feeling. Can someone describe what is feels like and if it is pressure where it is located. Thanks.
