How can you1know HOW many grams of protein

When you have 1-2 oz. of tuna/protien how do you know how may grams of protien it has, since you aren't eating the whole can/ even 1/2 of the can, or meat. I know the can will say , but how do you exactly know how many grams are in 1 oz of turkey or whatever. My surgeon make us measure 2 oz. of meat/protein 3X a day. 2nd day post op. He doesn't do liquid diets/ mushie diets.
