Please Help

I had my surgery on 8/14/09 and since then I have lost 61 pounds. I was sick with 2 peristomal ulcers and then my DR had to dialate my opening. I was throwing up so much stomach acid it was horrible. At times i felt like my i messed up by having the surgery. Then about 2 weeks ago i felt better than i have since the surgery. Then 2 days later i went to the ER because I thought i broke my foot and was told that i had GOUT. Has anyone gotten gout after surgery? I was wondering how to make the swelling go down by doing home rememadies because all the meds are NSAIDS and they are tearing my pouch up. Thanks so much.
