Does anyone know how soon after surgery I can get back to normal chores?

I live on a horse farm. (15 horses 2 of which are new babies!) I have to do twice daily chores that include feeding and watering and cleaning stalls. There is no one else but me to do this. I am setting up extra feed and water for a 3 day hospital stay while I am gone having by-pass surgery. But what about when I get home? Any thoughts on normal lifestyle return after I get home?
