Enamel Loss on Teeth?

I am 10 months out from lap RNY. I have recently been to the dentist for my 6 month cleaning and it was noticed that I have some enamel loss and sensitivy on my front teeth. I was given recomendations to try to correct this. But my question is; Has any one else experienced this? Is this normal? And what have I been doing wrong? My dentist is not really "experienced" with WL patients..... Thanks for any info!
