PERMANENT WAVE BEFORE SURGERY

Does anyone have any experience with perming of the hair before surgery? I am having my surgery in 1 week and wonder if anyone know's if the perm will hold if I get it done before surgery. And will it make my hair fall out fast too? Thanks
