Pre-Op - Will I be able to really eat normal foods?

My surgery is 5 days away and I'm freaking out cause I love food... it's been part of my family, growing up, eating until we all have to sit on the couch and yell, "I ate too much" and I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to eat again or ever be satisfied. My Mom is making a sauce and meatballs today and I'm on a liquid diet... I want that stuff, ya know?
