Any ideas on how to minimize swelling and numbness after a brachioplasty?

I had the gastric by-pass three years ago. I went from size 22 to size 4. I had a TT and a brachioplasty 4 weeks ago. My arms are still sore, numb and swelled. Please, any help will be a blessing. Sometimes I fell a sharp sting.. I live alone and I am getting scared. Thanks Salete
