How long does it take for your hair to grow back in.

I haven't had surgery yet, but I have lost lots of my hair. I was told by many that it was caused by diabetes and that their hair came back in after surgery. I am on hormones and synthroid to help it come back in, but it isn't yet. I know I'll lose more when I have my wls.
