How long before first bowel movement

I really don't think it is anything Ican call my surgeon in AM but was wondering if one of you had answer. Feb 20th had total hip replacement did not have a bowel movement until the 26th My Doctor was very mad at hospital staff for releasing me. But anyway had RNG May 21st still have not had a movement Is this normal as i DO HAVE SOME rotton gAS!!
