Health Insurance to Cover Surgery Wisconsin

Hi, I live in Wisconsin and need answers about health insurance that will or could cover this surgery for me. I look on many of the plans exclusions and limitations and they all say they won't cover weight loss surgery. However on the flip side they said they would cover surgery that is deemed medically necessary so how would that work for weight loss surgery? In short what where the steps people took to get this surgery. Also, I am in college and is seriously considering dropping out to pay for it.
