I am 3 days post op and having lots of gas pain

I had lap RNY on 3/16/09 and today is 3/18/09. I came home from the hospital last night didn't sleep well I was okay if I was on my Right side but still up every hour. I called the surgon and my pulse is normal so he thinks I am okay and said he would re-admit me to the hospital but I prefer to stay at home. I have Vicodin for pain but I just can't seem to fart maybe only 5 times since surgery. I started walking the halls Monday night. I have continued to walk. I am a little teary and wish I felt better. Does anyone have any sugestions and/or uplifting messages please respond. Please tell me it will get better.
