I haven't been able to get insurance because of obesity. Help?

I lost my insurance about ten years ago when I changed jobs. My employer had a plan that was medically underwritten and I was denied coverage. I work for a very small corporation (4 employees) and the other employees all have insurance through another family member. I think I make too much money for Medicaid. I'm not sure where to turn. It's hard for me to believe that an obese person simply can't buy insurance, but that has been my experience. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
