liquid diet and weight loss

Since I am considered a lightweight I am concerned that I may lose too much weight pre op when I am on a liquid diet for a week before my RNY surgery in December. I have already lost 16lbs since the first time they weighed me. I know though I would gain it right back plus more if I did not have this surgery. I'm worried that they might think I lost to much weight and cancel my surgery but yet their putting me on a liquid diet for a week before.
