Question about Carbonated Drinks

Do any of you post op folks drink carbonated drinks? If so, has this stretched your pouch? My surgeon tells us to never have carbonated drinks again but I am addicted to diet coke and have been for years. Don't get me wrong, I can put it down and will do so for this surgery to be successful for me but I wondered if you guys do drink it and if you have had any consequences?
