eating beef

I was SO embarrased last night at my boyfriend's house,he fixed a nice dinner of beef stew...the meat was tender in the crockpot,but after a few minutes, I had to run to the bathroom and throw up..I thought I chewed it well? I'm over a year out of my surgery....has anyone else experienced this with beef? Thank you for you answers...Linda Arnold
