Ever take prescribed Cardizen CD? Swelling?

I am waiting for approval for weight-loss surgery. I have swelling in the lower legs and BIG lumps on the inner-thighs that make walking harder, not to mention wearing pants! I have been taking Cardizen CD (for blood pressure) for years and saw recently on the Internet that one side effect is swelling of the hands, legs, and feet. Anyone else have this problem? If so, did you change meds and if so, did that help? Thanks so much.
