DGL (deglycerinated) licorice has anyone tried this for an ulcer?

I have tried Nexium and Omeprazole(prescription Prilosec) and am having bad reactions to both. Have gotten very dizzy. Have been doing some research on home remedies and came a crossed the DGL Licorice and was wondering if anyone has ever tried this and if so any complications?
