Any medical reason why we can't have a Glucose Tolerance Test Post op?

I notice on some answers to a question about Insulin Resistance that someone said we can't have a GTT can you tell me why I am scheduled for one because I keep passing out from low blood sugars but whenever we do a fasting I am in the normal range. Thanks for any help.
