How soon can I realistically plan to go back to school?`

Hi everyone! I finally have my surgery date and it is August 16th (RNY), classes start August 28th... I don't want to give up this entire semester, but wanted to know, do you think I'll be able to go to class 12 days post op? I believe I can talk to my professors and let them know what's going on, just wanted to hear from some post-op'ers ;)
