Has anyone with borderline pulmonary hypertension undergone successful surgery?

I was just diagnosed with borderline pulmonary hypertension, after noticing I was gaining weight quickly. I was considering WLS but don't know now that I will be eligible. How difficult is it to be approved for the surgery with this condition? What are the complications? I have seen a couple of posts indicating patients with this problem have had to be ventilated after surgery. Does this mean you are kept unconscious for the length of time you are ventilated? Does the surgery really cure pulmonary hypertension? I am on a C-PAP with oxygen at night and can still walk, but have to stop a lot while walking distances. All of this became noticeable over the last six months. I would appreciate anyone who can give me any tips-- or real hope. I weigh about 317.
