Anyone had an endoscopy?

I'm having an endoscopy done tomorrow at 12:30pm. Will it hurt afterwards? And will I be able to eat at all on Thanksgiving, in moderation of course? I have heard that my throat will hurt, and unfortunately, I have a very low pain threshhold. Any experience with an endoscopy?
