Can I take Communion wafer and wine after Roux-en-Y?

I am Roman Catholic and take Communion wafer and sip of wine each week at church. Will I still be able to receive Communion after my surgery? (The wafer dissolves in the mouth). Thanks! Patti Poor, Cartersville, GA
