Developed Chest Pain

About one month after surgery, I developed chest pain on left side, It lingered a few days and I got worried. Of course I knew going to the ER for chest pain at my age (50's) I would be admitted for a cardiac work-up and I was. All was well in the heart department, but no reason for the pain could be determined. They gave me a diagnosis of Costrochondrititis (which is an irritation of the cartilidge between the ribs. I still have the pain off and on, 2 months post op. My obesity advocate says it could be trocanter pain, whatever that is (I think it is from putting the instruments under the breast around the rib cage). Has anyone had this experience?
