Feelings of indigestion/reflux...could this just be gas?

I am 3.5 weeks post lap-rny. About 5 days ago I begin feeling like I had indigestion and reflux. My surgeon ordered an Upper GI but all is normal. Could this pain be caused from gas? I'm taking Gas X and it doesn't seem to help. I'm not able to drink much and cannot tolerate food.
