Hernia/Endometreosis

My doctor that has suggested that I look into WLS is aware that I have a umbilcal hernia as well as endometreosis. But I am not feeling to confortable about that. He says that I'm a poor canidate for the surgery to repair the hernia but if I had to have any sugery it would be to lose weight. If you were his patient would you feel right about his opinion? I'm so confused I need help. Please anyone who has a hernia especially endo. please feel free to leave me a message thanks for those who respond.
