Can you feel the band around your stomach?

I have just been approved by BCBS and am scheduled for surgery for the 7th of April. I'm not scared or nervous at all, I've been so worried about the approval. Someone at work asked me if I would be able to feel the band, I said I didn't know thats why I'm asking.
