I get a lot of headaches, and I'm wondering about taking Excedrin Migraine before sur

I am on a cariovascular drug called Corgard, and this is combined with a drug called Elevil (used to be used to treat depression) to prevent my bad headaches, but I am wondering if I get a headache a day or two before surgery (July 11th) can I take Excedrin? Also, what about headaches after surgery, does anyone get them after, and what can you take to relieve the pain? I probably sound like a weenie, but my headaches are real bad. Thanks so much...
