Can you give me advice on iron & Hemaglobin

Does anyone know is it possible to get my hemaglobin and iron up in 8 days? My iron is 23 and my hemaglobin is 9.8, my wls Dr's nurse called today said they are to low, he won't do surgery if they are that low! I am going to see my pcp in the morning. I am sure she will give me iron pills! I am going to the store tonight to get high iron foods! Spinach, rasins, nuts, green veggies? Has anyone else had this problem? Is it possible to get it up FAST?? HELP? Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!
