IS IT NORMAL OR ADVISABLE TO HAVE PRE- OP TESTS PERFORMED THE MORNING OF SURGERY?
MY SURGERY IS SCHEDULED FOR MAY 14 IN LOUISVILLE, KY. I AM TO BE THERE BY 10:00 AM FOR TESTS, THEN SURGERY. AS I UNDER- STAND THE TESTS WILL CONSIST OF BLOOD WORK AND POSSIBLY A CHEST X-ray. I AM CONCERNED THAT NO ECHO GRAM OR UPPER GI ARE BEING DONE. I TOOK PHEN PHEN FOR 6 MONTHS AND HAD AN ECHO 3 YEARS AGO AND EVERYTHING WAS FINE. I AM HOPING THAT EVERY PRECAUTION IS TAKEN TO ENSURE THAT I AM PHYSICALLY CAPABLE OF UNDERGOING THIS SURGERY. I AM VERY ANXIOUS TO HAVE THIS SURGERY BUT VERY NERVOUS ALSO.ANY ONE WITH ANY ADVICE,ENCOURAGEMENT, COMMENTS OR PRAYERS PLEASE POST AN ANSWER OR EMAIL ME AT [email protected] . MY SURGERY IS ONLY 10 DAYS AWAY!
