Diabetic After Surgery?

I am 8 months out from bypass. I had diabeties only during pregnancy before surgery. The last few weeks i have been experiencing high sugars and feel sick after eating certain things. I am not talking candy or anything crazy things like crackers and cheese this morning for snack. Thinking I need to call nutrition but has anyone had something similiar? Always heard it went away with surgery if you had it. Does not make sense that I am getting it now? Thought?
