What exactly is dumping?

I had surgery on 1/14/09, and so far I haven't had any problems. I asked my doc. if it was normal not to have any problems and he stated I must be following the routine? But I am unsure what dumping is. I tried to eat ground beef and I was in the bathroom with diarea like symtoms(no pain). I have not eat ground beef again and probably won't. But since that 1 time nothing else bothered me. I lost 47lbs so far.
