3 years after Roux-En-Y, can I use the Birth Control Pill?

I'm 3 years post op. and 38 years old. I've lost 100 pounds and kept it off for 2 years. I'd like to resume using the birth control pill. I've tried the patch, but I don't care for it. Any advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Erin
