weight loss surgery for adolescents/pediatrics

Hello everyone! I am post op 20 months and have returned to college! I have been assigned a series of papers and chose weight loss surgery as the topic. The third paper I have to ask others for opinions on controversial topics. So I am asking for help from all of you! I need your thoughts and opnions on weight loss surgery for adolescents/pediatrics. Do you feel it should be performed? under what limitations? Please let it loose!
