Is it OK for someone who had lap band surgery to do a liver/intestinal cleanse?

I had the lap band surgery in January of 2007. Prior, on an annual basis I would go to the health food store and buy an liver/intestinal cleanse kit. I felt it was really helpful but I don't know if having the lap band would be an issue. It is an herbal suppliment using milk thistle, flowers (dandelion) and other herbs. I called the nurse and she left a message stating no because she is not familiar with the product but never explained why. It is very difficult to get in touch with the nurse (that is a whole other issue) and I figured I'd have more success getting feedback from others who have had the lap band surgery and have tried detox cleanses.
