Skoal dipping

I am having surgery on Sept. 14, 2001, Lap RNY. When I fish or hunt, I am very hooked on Skoal wintergreen. Has anyone ( most likely guys ) been able to continue dipping or does it make you really sick. I think I would miss this more than food. Michael
