What about Depression after Surgery?

Hi, I'm 7 months out from Lap-RNY and since about the 2nd month I have been and emotional wreck. Is this normal? Is it "mourning" the loss of FOOD? I have always suffered from depression and medication has always "helped", but NOT anymore. I do realize "time-released" meds are not for "us" anymore, but has anyone else experienced this issue? Thanks for listening......
