Anyone not get the support they were expecting from their spouse?

My husband claims to love me through and through....but as soon as I decided I wanted to have bariatric surgery, things changed...I've been to the seminars alone, the surgeon consults alone...I have given this man all the support throughout our 7 yr. marriage, but now I think he won't be there for me when I need him most....or does he fear that once I'm smaller he'll lose me?
