Anyone else ever had their insurance company do this to them before?

I received two letters from Ochsner yesterday. The first one I opened was approving 3 hospital days for my surgery. The second one was denying my surgery because they do not consider the surgery medically necessary! Why would they approve the hospital stay and not the surgery! I am so confused and angry! What do I do now? Anyone else have Ochsner Total Health Choice? Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated. I will be calling the WMC first thing in the morning to see what my next step should be, just wanted to see if anyone else had this happen to them before. Thanks--Monica
