How Many Calories A Day Do Post Ops Consume?

How many calories do you eat a day? I got a note from a pre-op stating that she was told we could eat only 200 calories a day. WOW!!!!!!!!!! If I did that little I would keel over from starvation!!! I eat about 1000 to 1500 a day myself, but I am a big man. My wife tries to stay under 1000 because she is still trying to lose weight. I would love to hear all of your stories about this subject.
