Anyone taking something else for arthritis besides celebrex

My surgery doctor said to swithch to celebrex before surgery. I have gained 10 lbs. and have swelling of ankles and hands and stomach. I told him this happens to me and I think he thought I was using this as an excuse for weight gain. What else can I take that is easy on the stomach.
