has anyone who's military overseas used a civilian wl Dr. in the states?

I am in Puerto Rico and have Tricare Prime. I am having a problem with them not giving pre-approval. How do you find out if Tricare will pay for the codes? This has become such a headache!! I am in need of help. My wl Dr. want's a 2,000 deposit (same that he asks for Medicare patients) in case Tricare will not pay. This is my worst fear and Tricare is not very forthcoming with answers. I want to make sure my bases are covered. Please HELP!! Kristie
