What type of Psych Evaluation is needed for clearance?

I'm preparing for WLS and need to have a psych eval clearance. I went to a psychiatrist yesterday and she said she normally likes to meet with clients at least 8 times before giving clearance. A friend said she went once for 90 minutes and received clearance. Is this possible and what do you suggest?
