How long should it take for your PCP to write his letter?

I met my surgeon on Monday and saw my PCP Tuesday. I'm trying to move everything as fast as possible. I've been told the insurance (BCBS of Michigan) only needs the letters from the surgeon, PCP and my psych eval. I'm going tomorrow for that. The people who work at my Dr. office are slow and stupid... is this something I should keep calling and bugging them for or just wait hoping they do it soon?
