Can vomiting cause facial hives?

Tonight after eating (too fast) - I vomited. I noticed when I went to the bathroom shortly after that my face had broken out into red blothy areas resembling hives (or wheals). I had this happen a couple weeks ago. I woke up in the morning looking like this. I contributed it to my moisturizer. But thinking back, I remember that I had spent the evening before vomiting several times. Since it happen again today - I'm wondering if it is related. I've never had hives before in my life. What can be done for them? Any advise would be appreciative!
