Medicare/Medicaid in Florida

Has anyone been approved for this surgery in Florida using Medicaid/Medicare...and if so, what surgeon did you use? I am 4 1/2 months out from my surgery and have lost 100 lbs. The BEST thing I ever did. My friend really wants to get this done, but my doctor, Dr. Fernandez in Tampa, does not take medicaid...Any suggestions?
